CH24 WISHBONE CHAIR

The Hans Wegner Wishbone chair, also known as the CH24 or ‘Y’ chair, is an instantly recognisable Danish design classic. Much copied, the licensed original is manufactured to the highest quality standards in Denmark by Carl Hansen & Son, in constant production since its introduction in 1950. The elegant and sculptural form takes over 100 steps to create, many of which are carried out by hand; it takes a skilled craftsman more than an hour and 120 metres of paper cord to weave the seat, providing durability and stability. Available in solid beech, oak, ash, walnut or cherry with a choice of finishes: oiled, soaped or lacquered in a wide variety of colours – contact the store for the full range.
